Water Quality Test The following tests were performed at two different existing "produce water" injection stations and prior to reinjection. One station was in an up-set condition, while the other was rather normal. Two sample points were used for both tests, the inlet samples were taken just after the "Hydroflow" test filter feed pump by way of a 316ss valve and tubing. The outlet samples were taken just after the "Hydroflow" filter. (Note: After the sample valves the standard sampling manifold was used as described in NACE standard TM-01-73 "Test Methods for Determining Water Quality for Subsurface injection Using Membrane Filters") Two types of test, described in the above reference, were run: 1. The flow rate vs. cumulative volume test. 2. The suspended solids test. Both
test were conducted using "matched weight membrane filters" Tabulation and graphic representation of rate vs. cumulative volume (this test is some times called "Plugging Tendency Curves") and the suspended solids test are shown below. It should be noted that the inlet samples had a very fast decline. All inlet samples were run for 10 minutes and blinded off completely. While the outlet samples at 5.0 micron ran 5000 m/l in just over three minutes with no slow down or appearance of plugging.

you would like to run your water through a Hydroflow to see how
it will perform on your application, then please contact us to
set-up one of our rental pilot units. These units are one foot
in diameter and about nine feet tall. They are fully automatic
and have a thru-put of 9 gpm or 300 bwpd and run on 220 volts
1Ph.
